Damn nice and stylish Swiss military sunglasses. The future of neutral Switzerland is so bright that even the soldiers must wear shades. Warproof but at the lovely price of surplus gear. Carrying case included.
Sunglasses are very useful in the Swiss army especially in the wintery Alps, where sunlight can make things painfully bright. And they also come in handy by the pool of the officer’s club. However, these are perfect for the civilian world as well. Wear them while driving, in the city, or when skiing. The sun will shine wherever you may roam.
Materials and features
These sunglasses have lightweight graphite-colored partially rubber-coated polycarbonate frames with rubber nose frames. Brown lenses that according to the manufacturer offer 100% UVA & UVB protection up to 400 nanometers. Since this is military surplus, we cannot give this specific guarantees on UV protection. However, their active non-use shouldn’t have affected these very much.
These sunglasses come with a black neckband and a hard plastic carrying case. The case, however, isn't that great. Manufactured by Suvasol.
Condition
These are primarily unissued Swiss military surplus but there can be some used ones as well. The case might have some warehouse dust, scratches, and other things like that. And the lenses might require washing.

they felt a bit flimsy when the came and the boxes definitely do not look new.
in use, they turned out to be very good. they even fog up less than some others for 4-5 times the price. the lens colour is meant to give you sharper sight in snow and in grey weather in the mountains, so it is orangey brown. your eyes won't rest like they do with dark green, but you will see well.

Eivät niin nopeat kun nuo muut valikoiman Bollet yms, mutta kyllä nämäkin ovat semisti epäilyttävän näköiset ihmisten ilmoilla. Itse hankin enimmäkseen ulkoiluun, juhannuksen jälkeen pääsee testaamaan kanoottihommissa. Tosin niissä polaroinnista olisi ollut iloa.
Yhden tähden pudotin epätarkasta kuntoluokituksesta. Omien lasieni kotelo on selvästi saanut enemmän runtua kuin voi varastoinnissa kuvitella tulevan. Sarana on rikki ja kiinnityslenkki lohjennut, isoja naarmuja löytyy. Myös sangoissa oli kulumaa ja selviä käytön merkkejä. Linssit olivat muuten virheettömät, mutta harmaan möhmön peitossa. Luultavasti laseihin on suihkutettu joku desinfiointiaine käyttäjän niistä luovuttua, sen verran tasainen oli tuo harmaa möhmö. Olen kyllä laseihin ihan tyytyväinen, mutta ei nyt tällä kertaa vastannut kuvausta.

Then again, I m not a chemical expert either.
The Swiss touch drew my attention (and this company's propaganda, of course).
The Swiss seem to know how to get their gear right.
I m using this pair for a month now and I m very pleased with the quality.
The logo on the left glass was easily removed with cleaning alcohol on a cue-tip.
I m not a brand junky and the upper left vague shadow started to annoy me soon.
Glass clarity is great.
The glasses cover my whole field of view.
The contrast is also very pleasant although all colors are more yellow now, compared to my useless previous sunglasses.
The contrast definitely brings out prettier cloudy skies.
I mainly use it while driving my car and once on an outdoor shooting range.
Managed to hit the bullseye at 50m several times, while wearing these glasses, so that works there for me too.
The frame pleasantly fits my face. Very light and flexible.
Case (Italian produced according to the scriptures on it) does it's job.
Cord behaves fine in the case. Only rolled and tied it once, and it's still in that same posture.
In total I give it five stars, since I ve never looked through A+ brand sunglasses before and there's probably something that can be improved over these sunglasses.
But likely not at this price level.

There is a trekker's creed for gear: "lightweight, durable, inexpensive; pick two." This is the very rare item that is all three. Recommend that you put a high-vis retaining cord on in place of the black one, I have lost my original pair and am very sad. Fortunately the size of the lot acquired enables me to replace the one I lost with two additional.
