Swedish M60 Service Pants, Surplus

Finding a good pair of well fitting no-frills classic pants for men is surprisingly difficult, unless you shop Swedish army surplus. These honest service trousers have been used by those in the service of the King way back when Sweden had a proper army. Made in Sweden, not too pricey at all.

These service pants have all the basic features you need and none of those nonsense extras you might want. There's the basic layout of pockets, high waist by modern standards, belt loops for a max 35 mm wide belt and a proper straight leg. Although the model hails from the '60s, the men and women in service didn't need to suffer from bell bottoms!

Material and care

The fabric is "modern, comfortable, durable and easy to wash" blend of cotton and polyester. The weave is quite airy, making these surprisingly well suited for all kinds of activities, like bicycling or gentlemanly hiking. The colour is a greyish-bluish shade, admittedly not very inspiring. Maybe you should pair these with something lively?

Machine wash in 40 degrees Celsius, air dry only.

Size info

These follow the EU size chart, with a letter denoting the body type: B is "lean" (like Arnold Schwarzenegger), C is normal and D is "portly". If there's the number 1 before the EU size, that size is Long. In our listing you can see the user's recommended height and waist circumference. The actual sizes of these pants seem to be on the smaller side, so get a larger size than what you might normally have.

Some of these are used, some are not. All are in good condition. However you should air them out properly before use as they have been stored for decades.
