Swedish Folding Sunglasses, Surplus

Price 4.99 USD excluding sales tax

The Dutch folding sunglasses were supposed to be the fugliest in the world but these fluffies beat them fair and square. The design is familiar from WWII Germany but for some weird reason, Swedes wanted to make these as well. Dark as hell and they will stay on no matter how stormy your life gets.

Features

The lenses and the folding flaps are made of some Sith Lord black plastic, and the frames some “chocolate” brown fluffolite. The flaps have been perforated to prevent a foggy view. A rubber band keeps these on safely no matter how drunk you get. The goggles fold into a very flat and compact package and come in a toxic 70s green case that is made of some rubber-like substance that makes annoying noises.

Use

Fairly similar goggles were used by e.g. German WWII motorized troops. Originally these were made to protect you from the wind, sun, and also some dust. Although the holes on the side will let some dust through. These are made of thin and flexible plastic, so they aren’t usable for airsoft, paintball, welding, and other heavy-duty protective use.

It must be sunnier in Sweden because these are very dark, and they will tone down too bright of a future in a very nice gloomy fashion. While your vision fades, all your other senses will become more acute. If you turn them upside down, you are fit to travel back in time to the 70s.

Condition

Used Swedish military surplus from some dark corner of history. They can have some fingerprints and other signs of use. After all, these are quite old but in any case still perfectly serviceable. Since this is old military surplus, we cannot give you any polarization guarantees.

These came with a leatherettte pouch. They will serve far better than their predecessors, optometrist's post-pupil dilation folders, as backup sun/snow glasses.

I received the glasses broken, I didn't expect much since it was so cheap but I at least expected the plastic to be whole and not cracked.
