Isn’t it cool that the same emergency number 112 works in the whole EU? Not all folks know this, and that’s why we celebrate the European 112 Day, quite cleverly on the 11th of February. To recap: If you are in the EU, your “911” is 112!

Isn’t it cool that the same emergency number 112 works in the whole EU? Not all folks know this, and that’s why we celebrate the European 112 Day, quite cleverly on the 11th of February. To recap: If you are in the EU, your “911” is 112!
112 Day is a Europe-wide campaign to raise people’s awareness of what everyday safety is. The theme in Finland for 2023 will be “Preparedness for emergencies is the outcome of small everyday actions”.
The 112 Day promotes accident prevention at home, on the road, work, and during leisure activities. Improving safety sounds like a perfect job for us good guys, and that is why we jumped in this campaign.
Active people are often prone to accidents, and help isn’t always readily available, so you’d better come prepared. Sometimes you also bump into people who are in distress, and it is nice to be able to help. The meat-wagon isn’t often even necessary if you invest in accident prevention.
We listed here our products that can prevent many nasty things from happening. Some of these are worth carrying along at all times, and some are more suited for special occasions. Some are pretty self-explanatory, like the reflectors and first-aid gear. However, for example, a metal waterproof case filled with gravel and a small shovel are perfect for those slippery winter days. And remember to change the batteries in your fire alarm.
