Simple, flat shoulder straps for the Särmä TST backpacks. Designed especially for weapon handling and wearing on top of body armor - the unpadded construction is very low profile to minimize bulk and interference when shouldering rifles.

These straps attach to pretty much anything with a spare D-ring, PALS loop or other suitable modularity pieces, but are designed especially with Särmä TST backpacks CP10 and CP15 in mind.

Simple to install without tools or sewing: the top is secured to a D-ring with a steel slide buckle. The bottom straps are passed through a D-ring and through their own end-loops and clipped to the top part with a side release buckle.

The smaller webbing width is 25 mm (1") and the wide parts are 50 mm (2").

Made in the EU

The black and green straps are manufactured in co-operation with Finn-Savotta Oy (Finland's leading military and outdoors gear manufacturer and the main load-bearing equipment contractor for the Finnish Defence forces). Depending on the situation production runs are sewn either in Savotta's Finnish or Estonian factory, sometimes even partially in Finland and partially in Estonia. The little printed tags tell where exactly each particular product was sewn. The white straps are made in the Czech Republic by Finnish CPE. White webbing material is made in Finland, by Finn-Nauha. The buckles in the white straps are made by Plasty, material is PA6. All materials are NIR compliant.

For fellow idiots, the velcro is removable. Don't spend 30 minutes struggling with the tiny loop; remove the buckle and the velcro and make your bottom strap loop.

This was the perfect replacement strap for my M60, great straps and super comfortable.

Nicely made and a good way to get a simple set of straps on your pack. Simple and soft enough not to dig in. Very secure setup. For small people like myself, who like the pack close to my back and sitting quite high, the straps are still unfortunately a tad too long in its shortest setup. If you are looking at quick removal over unbuckle and hide-away, then the bottom parts are unfortunately a hassle to remove each time. Also, when you hide the straps away, the straps take up space in the back compartment of the pack, where you might want to fit other things, and due to their length, they are also a bit longer than the back compartment, so to hide them away fully, the do double up at the bottom of the pack where the lower parts are already tucked in. That surprisingly took a bigger than expected chunk out of that potential storage space. Also, being able to quickly remove the top part of the straps gives quick, unhindered access to the back compartment. With the straps in place however, the access is slightly trickier. Some kind of slide through buckle system that could be quickly detached and re-attached would therefore be nice. That way one can also store the detached straps in the main compartment.
