Technical details and instructions

Viscose is essentially the same stuff as "bamboo" garments, but likely more environmentally friendly. Lenzing brand viscose is used for these boxers. The fiber is made of beech wood with a small percentage of other woods like pine in the blend.

  • Fabric weight: 160 g/m2 / 4.7 oz/yd2, about the same as your common t-shirt
  • Material: 92% viscose, 8% elastane.
  • Made in Lithuania

Wash at 40 degrees Celsius (104 F), hang to dry.

Description

Proper good boxer shorts for an affordable price - these are more like the Common Man version of the Merino wool model we also sell. Being made of viscose, these share some of the good characteristics of wool. And thus much better than cotton!

Choose at least four pairs of Varusteleka underpants and get 10% off all of them!
  • These are snug-fitting, very simple boxers
  • Absorbs sweat and transfers it away from the skin

The seams are flat so nothing will chafe, making these equally suited for sports, outdoors or just casual use.

Viscose - poor man's Merino wool

Functionally viscose absorbs sweat and transfers it away from the skin, dries rather fast, and doesn't get smelly nearly as fast as cotton or synthetic fibers. Additionally, it's antistatic, so no sparks appear with these. It does get a bit wrinkled easier than most fabrics, but with underwear, this shouldn't be a problem.
