Features

The official name is the GI Shelter Half Tent Stake, which refers to the so-called pup tent half that was carried by one soldier. The pup tent is a small 2-person A-frame tent that got its nickname because it looks like a puppy of a bigger tent. However, nobody stops you from using these with other tents.

These tent stakes are c. 22.5 cm (9”) long and weigh 75 grams (2.65 oz). The angular shape is a lot more durable but since the stakes can be nicely stacked so that they don’t take that much space. The tip isn’t pointy, it is more chisel-shaped. The curved top keeps the ropes in place better than a straight one. One piece means one stake.

Condition

American military surplus. The paint can have some minor chipping but otherwise they are in excellent condition.
