Features
The official name is "Case, camouflage scr" (NSN number 1080-00-108-1646). US took these into use in the 70s and this NSN number was canceled in 2006. This batch probably contains bags from different decades of that era.
Originally this was designed as the carry case of the US military woodland/desert camouflage screening support system. In addition to the camo net, you can fit the poles, stakes, and other bits inside. You can of course use these to store whatever strikes your fancy. For example, the anti-drone camo cover of your prepper trench, the blind you use when duck hunting, a tent, or anything else you want.
Note that the mouth doesn’t have a waterproof closure mechanism. The idea is to be able to lay this down in the muddy ground or wet grass without getting the contents wet and muddy. But don’t throw it in the lake or it will go blublublub. A handy person with a vision and dreams can of course create a roll-top closure for it
Size info
Measurements when flat c. 137 x 46 cm (53.9" x 18.1"). Weight when empty c. 1.4 kg (3.1 lbs).
Condition
US military surplus. Some are unused and in the original packaging, some have been used pretty nicely. It is worth noting that these have probably been lying in the warehouse for quite a while, so there can be some warehouse dirt and such on these but it won’t affect the usability at all.
