The basic Military model from Therm-A-Rest for those who don't seek to pack weight-weenie stuff into the smallest possible space. Strong US-made MIL-SPEC sleeping mattress for heavy use!

Constructed of perforated urethane foam sandwiched between two polyester fabrics. The mattress decompresses on its own for the most part (this is called "self-inflating") and you top it off by blowing in the valve. Don't start huffing and puffing too soon to reduce moisture inside the mattress.

Compared to the "civilian spec" mattresses, these are made of way stronger materials - you have to purchase this only once!

Mine gave in after 20ish weeks of frequent but very light in-door use, the melted/glued fabric between the layers let go so it turned into a balloon. It was nice while it lasted but this just proved my suspicion about reliability issues with inflatable mattresses. Basically very nice comfortable but somewhat unreliable stuff that you can't trust outdoors (and sometimes in-doors). Edit: If it breaks you can just return it here very easily so if you want a luxury item like this then this is a good option!
