Terävä Double Sheath for Skrama

Carrying a large and a small knife in the bush is a rather clever and traditional way. The purpose of the knives has very little overlap so you can extend the useful range of your tools quite a bit. This Double Sheath is basically a Terävä Leather Sheath that carries a Skrama 80 or Jääkäripuukko 85 in addition to the larger Skrama bush knife.

Available for the Skrama 200 and 240. Both models are compatible with the Skrama 80 and Jääkäripuukko 85, the small sheaths are identical.

The Skrama 200 is already a large knife: twice the length and triple the weight of a Skrama 80. This combination is a close match to a traditional double Leuku knife.

The Skrama 240 is effectively a hookless bill and weighs more than the 200 and 80 together. This largest option still benefits from having a small knife next to it - perhaps even more so.

Common features

• 60 mm (2.4") wide belt loop, fits just about any belt you can find, even those extra-wide military types.
• D-ring swiveled belt loop lets the knife turn on your belt keeping it from coming in the way.
• Snug fitting press-stud strap secured the knife properly in its place. When brand new the strap may seem "short", just pull on it a bit or wet it with warm water and it will soon get a perfect length and shape!
• A grommet for a leg tie at the tip.
• Drain hole at the bottom.

High-quality materials: the leather is 2 mm (0.08") thick vegetable tanned cowhide, strong and sturdy. All attachments are made with numerous strong studs.

Sustainable leather

The leather of Terävä sheaths comes from Pelo Leather, a family-owned Central Ostrobothnian tannery founded in 1897. In addition to producing top-quality sheath and Nappa leathers with a minimized waste of materials and emissions, they are respectful towards the source of the raw materials: the animals as well as the nature in which they live.

Pelo Leather uses elk and yak hides provided by hunters and nomads, and only cowhides that are a side-product of the milk and meat industries. The cowhides come from local abattoirs that have standards for ensuring the wellbeing of the animals. No animals are reared for the purpose of producing these leathers.

Their business quarter is 25 years instead of 3 months and a lot of effort is put into the processes and logistics of the business, to provide a cleaner environment for future generations. We tip our hats at them and are proud to have their leather in our sheaths!
