Need a pair of good combination pliers but don’t want to spend a fortune on them? How about Swedish military surplus ones? The western military doesn’t use tools equipped with a self-destruct mechanism, so these might be just the thing. One should actually have several pairs because the one and only is always in that mysterious good spot when you need them the most.
Just like in the hardware store pliers, these have a flat tip for gripping stuff plus a cutting edge for snapping things in two. But unlike the civilian pliers, these also feature a round hole in the middle. Pioneers use that sort of a thing for crimping detonator caps. These are made from steel, and the handles have been coated with some matt black material, the consistency of which isn’t given.
Used Swedish military surplus. No overly bitter grunt has ever abused these, so they are in very nice condition. Our crystal ball doesn’t reveal us whether we will be getting any more of these, so grab a pair or two quickly if you have a plier-sized hole in your toolbox.
