SoftTie C Utility Strap

The SoftTie C is like a large cable tie but elastic and reusable over and over again. Use it as a small utility strap to secure all kinds of items together temporarily or for longer periods. The C models have a Compact lock with a high holding strength.

The uses of utility straps and cable ties are already virtually unlimited. The SoftTies fill the gaps to make everything in the universe possible if you only have the imagination for it. Here are a couple of ideas:

• Attaching gear to pipes and tubes: railings and handles on vehicles, bicycle or motorcycle frame tubing...
• Attaching accessories to a government-issued rifle - without leaving marks that could get you into trouble

Improved through details

Cable ties are commonly used for field fixes along with duct tape. They do leave room for improvement and here's where the SoftTie C comes into play. These are resistant to weather and UV radiation and offer other benefits over hard plastic ties:

It's elastic

The SoftTies have stretch. Not like a rubber band or bungee cord: it takes a solid pull to see anything happen. With SoftTies, the problem of having the tie either a bit too loose or so tight it breaks with a snap is gone.

The material stretches a scary amount and still returns to its original length. It takes stretching to four (4!) times the original length to break the strap.

It's leathery

The surface of the SoftTie is just a wee bit tacky, but not at all sticky. It's not hard like plastic nor soft like silicone. It's just right: does not collect dust or fingerprints, yet provides high friction on smooth and rough surfaces. As a result, wear on the surface finish is reduced.
