Sioen TenCate CS-802 IC Armor Plate, NIJ IV ICW

A highly advanced armor plate with multi-hit protection not commonly offered at the NIJ IV level. Must be used in conjunction with an NIJ IIIA vest. One plate in the package.

This is a special NOS batch we were able to source. Relabeled by Sioen and manufactured by TenCate, the label says "CS-800 IC" which is not listed in the catalog but the weight, thickness, and quacking sound of the plate match the CS-802 IC data sheet.

• NIJ IV: stops armor-piercing rifle rounds such as the 30-06 AP and Russian 7.62x54R
• ICW: requires NIJ IIIA armor backing – no official protection levels when used alone
• SAPI cut, dimensions 250 x 300 x 18 mm / 10" x 12" x 0.7"

NIJ IV level protection

The NIJ 101.04 standard level IV is the highest possible rating. It offers protection from virtually all rifle rounds, including AP bullets. Normally, NIJ IV is not specified to protect from multiple hits. This plate has been tested to protect against 3 hits with 7.62x51 AP P80. Also, the following special threats have been tested:

• .30-06 AP M2
• 7.62 x 54 R API B32
• 7.62 x 51 AP P80
• 7.62 x 39 API BZ
• 5.56 x 45 SS109
• 7.62 x 39 AK 47 MSC
• 7.62 x 51 M80

Any specified protection level is only valid when used in conjunction with an NIJ 0101.04 IIIA vest.
