OK, it's aluminum. Do you get Alzheimer's, autism, and astigmatism from it? The short answer is no, but for added security, the inside has a multi-layer EcoCare coating to completely separate your drink from the metal. It's safe for the purpose and durable as well. For example, it won't crack if you dent the bottle.
The bottle is sealed and leakproof even when upside down, and it's rated for carbonized drinks, acidic juices, milk... If you are willing to pour it down your throat, this bottle can handle it as well. Tastes and odors won't stick to the bottle: just wash it after using, and it'll be as neutral as a minister's speech.

Good old SIGG
Everyone recognizes these bottles. What's the story? SIGG was founded in 1908 to manufacture all kinds of things from aluminiminmum: cups, kettles, and so forth. The water bottle was added to the selection very appropriately: they had scrap pieces of metal from other produce and wanted to minimize waste.
SIGG was contracted by the Swiss armed forces to manufacture the flat M32 canteen - an item we have sold when we can find them. The round bottle was actually a hot water bottle up to the 1960s before it was rebranded as a drinking bottle.
Born as a side-product from scraps, the SIGG bottle became an iconic artifact and the company's primary offering while other products have been discontinued. Not perhaps the result they were expecting when making the first bottles 100 years ago, but a really good one!

Itse olen niin sählä, että sain pulloni klommoille tokana päivänä, kun käytin sitä. Rikki alle kuukaudessa, kun se putosi asvaltille repun juomapullotaskusta. Tuosta juomapullotaskusta ei ole yksikään muu pullo pudonnut, mutta tämä pullo on päällystetty niin luistavalla materiaalilla, että se putoaa taskusta ja kädestä oikein mukavan helpolla. Ihan kuin se olisi tarkoitettu.
Hyvä kun Leka vielä hehkuttaa SIGGiä firmana, mutta tuote on aivan absoluuttista sitä itseään. Ostakaa Nalgenen pullo mielummin.
