Särmä Windproof series has been so popular that we decided to make an anorak too. Anorak is like a regular jacket but a pullover model. This means you'll have to do it in a slightly different manner, and the lack of any front closure gives space for a nice, big, handy kangaroo pocket.

I'm not actually sure yet how this is going to fit into my life here in Australia — it's a little too heavy (995g for a medium) to take hiking very far. Probably a bit too warm for anything but late autumn into winter. All I can say is that I'll happily wear this around town as well as in the bush. The different modes facilitated by all the buttons and zips makes it incredibly versatile and I look forward to giving it a thorough test in some bad conditions. Really happy with this purchase, unbelievable for the price.

I love this so much, I bought a second one so I could have both colors. I you made it in more colors I’d have them too. Over a t- shirt it’s perfect for windy, drizzly, cool Alaskan summer days. Over a wool sweater it’s perfect for windy, snowy, cold Alaskan winter days. Everywhere I go, I get compliments on this anorak, and handed the hip flask when I tell them who I bought it from (vher is da liquor?). I wash them with nixwax and they keep me less wet in the rain. I wore one to run with the reindeer, and got trampled and gored zero times. The warming pocket has allowed me to not lose my fingers as I walk my dog through the frozen wastes of Winter, and the kangaroo pocket has so much room for accessories. I’m sorry to see it discontinued, but I look forward to the opportunity to buy a collection of newly designed European made anoraks in every color as well. Also, I love Varusteleka, you guys rock.

Simple and at the same time very functional! Very good in cold weather, a good protection and still easy to ventilate. The big kangaroo pocket is handy. I often used the anorak together with Särmä Wool hoodie - a winning combination! The only wish is that there also was a big pocket also over the lower back.
