We made our own version of the TAC MED logo with crossed Skramas. This is perfect for both combat medics and those who fight in the front line of the pandemics. Get it for yourself or as a gift for one of these true superheroes.

You might notice that we made the classical and historical error of using the Caduceus Staff instead of the Rod of Asclepius, which is the proper symbol for medicine and health care. This error has its roots in the Armed Forces of the United States and goes way back to the 1850s when Caduceus started appearing in insignia due to misunderstandings and ignorance. Eventually, the use of the wrong symbol got formally adopted and established its role as the symbol of medicine in the United States. The fun part about the whole thing is that Caduceus is a symbol related to the Roman god Mercurius, who is the god of commerce, financial gain, and thievery. A rather fitting symbol for Health Care in the USA?

Diameter 77 mm (3"). With hook backing to slap on your Velcro base. Available in black & white and subdued.

Made in Finland

These are manufactured by patchmakers who manufacture insignia for the Finnish army, quality stuff!

The crossed Skramas on the patch are wonderful but the hammer of Ukko on the beret? Brilliant!!!
