Buy four pairs of merino wool liner socks at the same time. You need them anyway and get the 4-pack cheaper. These are our lightest Merino wool socks, designed for demanding military use. They perform very well in all seasons, either as a liner around the year or a standalone summer sock. Made in Finland!

L1 (Level 1) means you can wear these as-is or with another pair (or two) of socks. Owning a few liner socks allows you to adapt your footwear for various conditions and uses. Rotating fresh liner socks on a long military yomp or hike can greatly reduce blisters and improve morale. They are e.g. a great choice for summer or climbing shoes with a tight fit.

Size info

The socks are manufactured according to European shoe sizes. The smaller option will likely fit better without feeling too tight if you are between sizes. See the chart below for size conversions.

Materials and care

Materials: 50% Merino wool, 48% polyamide, 2% elastane.

Machine wash at 40 °C (104 °F), the wool program and wool detergent recommended. If you pull the socks inside out and hang them to air between uses, washing is less frequently necessary.

The final fit is achieved after one wash cycle, as the sock will shrink about 3–5% in the first wash. This is taken into account in the sizing.

And yes, the wool is mulesing-free!
