Särmä TST Helmet Cover

A cover for modern High Cut helmets. Available in the Finnish M05 Woodland and M05 Snow patterns, and now also in MultiCam camouflage.

Helmet covers have come a long way from the nets with metal hooks to modern materials and requirements. Here's our take on a cover for modern High-Cut helmets.

• Cut-out for NVG mount base
• Loop bases for ID and IFF patches
• Elastic loops and cordage for cable management and additional camo material
• Fits most helmets

The cover attaches to loop surfaces you'll find on most helmets already, and with six hook-and-loop straps that fold into the helmet. These are two-sided to sandwich between the helmet shell and padding. In case your helmet has no loop surfaces in the right spots, a strip of 25 mm / 1" stick-on loop strap is included to help you out.

Medium and Large size shells have the best fit. Wet the fabric and stretch it a little to get a good fit on an X-Large helmet. The elastic shock cords cinch the fabric on a Small helmet.

Materials and care

You never really need to wash a helmet cover, as they are not exposed to sweat and other excrements. If you must, wash by hand with similar colors. Most often (if not always) you can just brush off loose dirt.

• M05 Woodland Camo fabric: 50/50 polyamide-cotton (NyCo)
• M05 Snow Camo fabric: 70/30 polyester-cotton
• MultiCam 48% polyamide, 48% cotton, and 4% XLA (elastolefin), ripstop.
• Webbing: 100 % polyester

All materials and components of the cover have suitable NIR properties for actual use in combat. The strip of stick-on loop strap is not specified like this but you install it inside the helmet anyway, if you do.
