Does everything one can expect. Not made to contain a full office, but has plenty of room for a few pens, a compass and a notebook (as per the picture). It works great.

Got this in black to accompany my first aid kit and other knick knacks on my belt, this one to carry pens, pocket screwdrivers, and a notepad. It rides high without a belt adapter, but because of where it was on my belt this actually became unexpectedly advantageous when I was sitting, since it ended up in a position where it wasn't bending or stressing the contents. It's a fair bit short for the average length of pen here in Canada, I just inserted them diagonally and it was fine; worth considering if that bothers you however. I can be very hard on what I wear as I've noted elsewhere, but even given an unusual position it sits (and the fact this position means basically everything in the shop it could end up rubbing or catching against has had a go at it) so far it has remained quite durable. The PALS attachment isn't quite as "grippy" as some other brands, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It makes it easier to attach - and detach. However, for the standard use case of having these on a chest harness, that would not really ever become an issue. If you're using it on a belt, I found that while you can attach it without an adapter, you'll risk it coming loose, but if you use the adapters Varusteleka sells, you won't have a problem, or at least I haven't. By the by not a *perfect* pouch for what it is (I would increase the overall size somewhat, and in particular the vertical size for the reason noted above), it definitely is a *very good* one, and I wouldn't have a hard time recommending it to anyone.
