If you got what it takes to wear a leather greatcoat, forget the usual floopydroopy abortions and get the German model 1936 instead! These are our own production.
Exactly like the model 1936 Wehrmacht greatcoat, but in black leather - a popular purchase during the war among those who could afford one, i.e. officers. Double buttonrows, two side pockets and 'French' cuffs. The buttons are machine sewn.
Made of real buffalo leather with cotton lining. Do not wash, take it to a specialist instead if it needs good cleaning. What you can do, however, is oiling the coat lightly once in a while.
Size info
First recommended user's height, then chest circumference in centimeters. Euro size in brackets. The French cuffs can be opened and rolled a bit downwards, resulting in a bit longer sleeves.
Here are the factory measurements for the chest and sleeve, measured from the coat:
- 48: 116 / 65 cm
- 50: 120 / 66 cm
- 52: 124 / 67 cm
- 54: 128 / 68 cm
- 56: 132 / 69 cm
- 58: 136 / 70 cm
Varusteleka Särmä
Särmä is our own brand of clothing and equipment. When you're buying Särmä you're getting purpose built stuff at a decent price, something that will fill it's intended role well and not cost you an arm and a leg!
Made in Pakistan
These are made by a small (about same size as us) Pakistani sewing factory run by two brothers. Due to their small size they are a very flexible team and what we've been most pleased with is how well they listen to advice. So far we have been very happy with the fruits of our common labour!
