Merino wool terry cloth fabric is awesome. The material is pretty flat on the outside but inside it’s filled with small loops, which create a pleasant feeling while also insulating your feet from the cold. Because of this structure, they allow air to flow and keep your feet dry and comfy regardless of the weather. They work well just as they are, but by layering a thinner merino sock underneath you have a formidable defense against even colder days.
MATERIAL AND CARE
74% mulesing-free Merino Wool, 25% Polyamide, 1% Elastane. Machine wash inside out at 40° C (104° F), wool program and wool detergent recommended. Please don't leave them in a wet lump after washing. Reshape them gently while still damp and hang to dry. Shrinks about 10% in the first wash; this is already considered in the sizing.
Because of the high wool content, just airing the socks is often enough.

Varusteleka used to sell knee-high versions of these as well. Shame that all these terry socks have been discontinued.
