Jorma is a Finnish man's name. It's not too common these days but it carries a strong connotation of dignity and tradition in our culture. Also, equivalent names in English would be Dick or Johnson. Make of that what you will.

Features

This jacket was designed by hunters for hunters. The cut is somewhere between a heavy shirt and a light jacket, so it's not baggy or tight.

The pockets are low-profile and as a special feature they are designed to hold your radio and allow the antenna to poke through and lead the headset wiring to the collar.

While providing protection from wind and an occasional shower, the highly breathable fabric is non-rustling or swishing, which is very important for quiet sneaking.

Material and care

Outer material brushed polyester, with polyester mesh lining on the inside. Wash at 40 degrees Celsius (104 F), hang to dry.

Our usual Särmä size system: user's recommended height and chest circumference. Selected sizes available as Short or Long. The cut is regular, expect to fit mid-layers underneath this light jacket.

Made in Estonia

These are made in Estonia, the country just south of Finland. It's in the European Union. Finland is too.

Sovitin myymälässä ja jätin sinne. Tässä yhden liikkuvan kanalintumiehen mietteitä.

Kangas ei itsessään suhise, mutta sen sisäpuolella oleva verkko hankaa polyesteriä. Housuilla talsiminen on kuin kävelisi marakassit nilkoissa. Puhdas polyesteri myös hiostaa. Vaikka verkko siirtää hien vaatteseen, haiset hikiseltä ihmiseltä kilometrien päähän vaikkei riista sinua kuulisikaan. Polyesterin hyvä kyky imeä UV-valoa on oma juttunsa, eläimet ei tosiaan näe maailmaa samalla tavalla kuin ihmiset. Also mikromuovi.

Ihan perus M05 cooltex on erinomainen metsästyskangas, ei suhise, hengittää syksyn oloihin sopivasti, pitää tuulta ja tihkua. Helppo paikata. Kestää nuotiolla istuskelua ja kuivatusta sulamatta.

Taskuja ei ole tarpeeksi, metillä liikkuessa takissa kulkee avainnippu, houkutuspillit, kompassi, puhelin, koiran herkut ja lompakko lupineen. Koko takissa on nyt yksi tasku näiden säilyttämiseen, koska asekäden puolen jätän mahd. tyhjäksi. Helma- tai hihataskut olisivat omiaan etenkin isompien artikkelien kantamiseen.

Takki:
+ Mainio leikkaus. Ei kinnaa ja huppu on suht hyvä.
+ Kaikissa maailman ulkoilutakeissa pitäisi olla näin hyvät kainalovetoketjut
+ Rintataskut hyvin ommeltu, saa kiinni ja auki yhdellä kädellä.
+ Radiojutut on oikeasti mietitty ja hyvin toteutettu
- Edellä mainittu pienempien taskujen puute
- Em. kangasvalinta
- En tiedä kuinka hyvin kangas kestää risukossa ryömimistä, kyynärvahvikkeet samaa ohutta polyesteriä

Housut
+ Hyvä leikkaus, hyvät taskut, hyvät vyötärön- ja nilkkakiristykset
- Nappeja ei peitetty, toisin kuin tämän firman taisteluhousuissa.
- Verkkovuori hyvin äänekäs lahkeissa
- Polvien kestoon ei löydy luottoa, latvalintujen tavoittelu vaatii lähes aina neulasten ja risujen seassa rämpimistä.

Tämä tosiaan myymälässä sovituksen ja oman 15 vuotisen jormailu-urani perusteella,. Jään unelmoimaan päivästä, kun joku tekee itävaltalaisen Anzug03 vuoristotakin kainalotuuletuksella ja M05 sekoitekankaalla.

Since there are no English reviews yet, I thought it might help some people if I do that.
The jacket is very comfortable and the material seems to be durable. If you expect a kind of combat-jacket these are NOT for you. The material is not meant to be as tough as you would expect from a field-jacket. This being said, the material is strong enough to take some beating though, but keep it away from open flames and be careful if you want to be close to a campfire.
The description states the material is very quiet and yes, that is true. I was skeptical at first about the 100% Polyester, but whatever they did to make it that quiet, it worked.
Please keep in mind, that there are only two (huge) chest pockets with zippers. While for some people that could be an issue, it makes it so much more comfortable to wear the jacket under a backpack. An arm-pocket would be nice though.
The camo is great (M05 is just an incredible effective pattern) but it is not NIR-treated - what shouldn't matter at all, since it is a hunting jacket and not a battle-dress.

Overall a great jacket with a lot of potential. Maybe there is a chance to get these in M05-cold weather camo at some point and with an additional sleeve-pocket?

Ensinnäkin takki on hyvä. Testattu hirvimettällä niin ajossa kuin passissakin. Toimii. Hinta-laatu-suhteeltaan priimaa ja erittäin kevyt ja mukava. Märässä risukossa rämmittyäni huomasin että tämä kyllä kestää niin vettä kuin risujakin.
Ehdottomasti parasta takissa on huppu. Huppu suojaa viimalta eikä niskaan tipu risuja/vettä rämpiessä ja mitä parasta, se kääntyy pään mukana eikä blokkaa ääntä.
Ehdottomasti huonointa taskujen määrä; toki kaikki olennainen mahtuu kyllä mukaan ja loput reppuun mutta povari saisi olla. Toki taskujen vähyyttä kompensoi se, että ne kaksi mitä ovat, pitävät vettä siinä missä muukin puku. Ei kastu nenäliinat eivätkä tulitikut.

Juho N:n arvioon ei ole paljoa lisättävää, mutta ehkä sen verran että takissa hihansuutaskut ja iso "perstasku" johon voi vaikka heittää sen tavin jos reppu unohtui matkasta. Itse tykkään että tuuletusaukoissa on avattunakin silti verkkokangas estämässä puvun puvun täyttymistä sisuilla ja männynkävyillä. Verkkokangas voisi olla vähemmän muovisen tuntuinen. Alkukauden lämpimillä keleillä lyhyttä aluskerrastoa ei tämän sisäkankaan alla mielellään pidä. Ihan hyvä kehitystyön alku, mutta jään odottamaan versiota Jorma 2.0 ja kun se tulee niin ostan!
