Good ol’ denim jacket with carefully selected details. Not bleached, sand-blasted, dragged behind a car, or otherwise fashionably pre-destroyed. Use as it is or decorate it with rivets and trash band logos.
Features
There are some military vibes on this jacket, making it very functional but the design is nevertheless relaxed. Comes with four pockets: two buttoned outer breast pockets and open side pockets. There is a button closure in the front and button adjustment on the waist and the cuffs as well. The silver-colored buttons are nickel-free and come with our logo.
Proper no-nonsense materials
When trying to find denim clothes, they are usually pre-washed or pre-torn crap. Not the case with this jacket! It actually looks like a new denim jacket with an even color. The only treatment these have had is the removal of starch, and that's it. This means the jackets are also pre-shrunk, so you don't have to worry about that either.
These are made of the same fabric as our Särmä Common Jeans which makes them very comfortable and pretty hard wearing. The materials for the black and blue are slightly different but have common properties. The fabric has some stretch and is lighter than the denim of a century ago. Fabric weight 326 g/m2 (11.5 oz). The metal parts on these are nickel-free.
- Weight of the blue fabric 390 g/m2 (11.5 oz/yd2), Cotton 98,7% and Elastane 1.3%
- Weight of the black fabric 322 g/m2 (9.5 oz/yd2), Cotton 98% and Elastane 2%, Stay Black -treatment ,
Sizing
The size menu has the recommended chest circumference in brackets. The cut is roomy so pick a smaller size if you want a closer fit. These are designed to fit a wide variety of people from average-height men to tall guys up to 190 cm (6' 3"). If you're very tall and sleeve length is important, a bigger size yields more length to the sleeves, and the shoulder seams drop a bit lower.
Below are some measurements of the garment itself. The hem circumference is 6 cm / 2.35" smaller than the chest in each size. The sleeve length is from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve including the cuff.

Made in Finland/Estonia
These jackets are made by the Finnish company MASI. All the designing and other “paperwork” is done here in Finland, while the sewing work and finishing washes are made just over the gulf in Estonia, still within the EU.

I also think it looks quite nice.

The fabric is lighter than my beloved heavy-duty jacket from an American brand, but that is what I was looking for, a jacket that's also comfortable on warmer days. This jacket delivers that, and is still beefy enough for last for years and years.
E: All of the above said, I think a jacket made from the same fabric as the black worker pants would be awesome, good stout 100% cotton. Doesn't have to be a denim jacket style, perhaps more like a chore coat or another classic work jacket style.

This is cultural appropriation.
Buy denim jackets made in the USA, or don't buy them at all.
The origins were trousers made of cotton, which came to the USA from the area around the Italian city of Genoa. From the French form of the city name ("Gênes"), the pronunciation "jeans" developed in America. Levi Strauss, who was born in Franconia (Germany) and went to San Francisco as an emigrant in 1847, made robust workwear for gold diggers, the "Gênes" from the fabric "Serge de Nîmes" (fabric from the city of Nîmes), denim jeans for short.
The origin is clearly in Europe when you look at the history ;)
