This steel mesh version is perfect for gas lamp lovers who want to maximize durability and minimize weight. Primus also offers a frosted glass version for those who want to maximize light output, but it is somewhat heavier and not as durable. Thanks to the Piezo ignition, the lamp lights with a push of a button. So, you don’t need to play with matches.

The quiet burner allows you to enjoy the lovely sounds of werewolves and mosquitos. The lantern runs on the same liquefied petroleum gas as your backpacking stove. The running time depends on the size of the canister, the temperature, and how bright you want your world to be. The manufacturer gives a very rough estimate of 4-36 hours. It is worth remembering that gas isn’t an ideal choice for Antarctic expeditions.

The variable light regulation enables you to adjust the brightness from a romantic glow up to 235 lumens. The Nylon storage sack keeps the lantern safe in transit, and the suspension cord ensures you can hang the lantern anywhere you want. Made in Estonia.
