The ARCH High Cut ballistic helmet by PGD Protection Group Danmark offers reliable ballistic protection at a very decent price! It features a dial-adjustable helmet retention system and removable pads for a custom fit and the best possible user comfort.

After some model updates and color changes we have simplified our stocks to just one model: the latest and the best.

Basic info

The sides feature ARC-type accessory rails. These can be used for earpro and helmet lights, for example. Additionally, the helmet has loop bases for IFF tags and other patches, and small Velcro-mounted accessories. The NVG mount in the front is compatible with all US-style mounts for headlamps and action cameras as well.

The memory foam pads inside the helmet conform to the shape of your head in 2–3 seconds and provide comfort and protection from blunt force trauma.

What's high cut?

High Cut helmets have become increasingly popular in the 2010s. The point of these helmets is the functionality and comfort when wearing earpro and comms. These can be very uncomfortable under regular helmets.

By sacrificing a small amount of ballistic protection area, the user comfort is greatly increased, which helps the user stay more attentive.

Made in Europe

The shell, loop stickers, rails, and mount are made in Europe. The memory foam padding is made in Asia.

Sizing and adjustability

These helmets are available in two shell sizes, Large and X-Large. The liner adjusts down quite a bit with the handy dial in the back.

By moving around or even exchanging the pads for aftermarket ones (thinner/thicker) you can modify the fit further.

NIJ 0101.04 explained

There are many standards but this one is the most common in Europe and widely used worldwide. Soft panels offer IIIA at most, from there it's hard plates. This helmet is IIIA

Helmet is comfortable and adjustment works well. The pads are supportive and soft at the same time. Construction is solid as expected for a bucket made of Kevlar. Note for the 2020 helmet, it is NOT compatible with the OEM Peltor ARC adapters. I can't confirm if they work with other ARC rail accessories or not. They look like ARC rails but they are not. So if you have a headset you want to use with it then you will have to set the headband inside the helmet. The good news is this works fine. It's a little annoying to put the helmet on now but the ears fit snug and do their job. Knocking one star off due to the rail compatibility. Otherwise its pretty great.

EDIT: After speaking with the manufacturer it turns out that they have adapters for the Peltor ARC adapters. Adapters for adapters heh. Apparently the helmet was supposed to come with them but mine didn't for some reason. They are shipping me a replacement set which should be here any day now. I will edit this review again once I have them.

EDIT2: The adapters have arrived. They replace the backs of the Peltor arms. Install just requires a phillips head screwdriver. I had them on in minutes.

Todella kevyt ja miellyttävä päässä, kuin fillarikypärää pitäisi. Omaan kuulaan ainakin istuu kuin isä äitiin hyvin pienellä välppäämisellä. Ainoa pieni miinus on ettei Princeton MPLS:n mukana tullut "kiskon päälle" asennettava pidike ei istu kypärään mitoitukseltaan mutta toinen suoraan kiskoon käy. M05 huput kun Leka osaisi valmistuttaa tälle niin olisi todella jees. Vahva ostosuositus potalle!

Ei ole kypärä ikinä tuntunut näin hyvältä päässä. Suojaustasot samat kuin 1500e maksavissa kypärissä, mutta käyttömukavuus jopa parempi kuin osassa kypäriä. Todella hyväntuntuinen kypärä, tukeva. Paino on kevyehkön puoleinen. Toisin kuin jossain kommentissa olisi, että kypärä ei ole yhteensopiva peltor ARC kiinnikkeiden kanssa, kypärä on yhteensopiva ilman erillisiä adaptereita. Kypärästä on tosi vähän arvosteluja jostain syystä, mutta älkää antako tämän hämätä. Parhaimpia kypäriä mitä on olemassa, tähän hintahaarukkaan +1000e on paras kypärä....

Miellyttävä kypärä hyvillä säädöillä. Sai säädettyä just sopivaksi eikä heilu päässä. Memoryfoamit mukautuu mukavasti ainakin lämpösemmillä keleillä, eikä sporttacien panta kypärän sisällä edes tunnu. Pehmusteet on kovemmilla pakkasilla varmaan aluksi kovat ennen ku lämpiää. Paino ja käyttömukavuus ehdottomasti paremmasta päästä mitä on tullut käytettyä. Jos ei tätä joka päivä työkseen päässä pidä niin en keksi miksi maksaisi tuplat vastaavasta jenkkikypärästä. Särmän M05 kypäräsuojus istui ihanasti tähän.

Asiallinen lakki, minulla lähinnä pyöräilykypärän roolissa (toivottavasti mahdollisimman kauan). Kiskot saa pois ruuvarilla, mutta ruuvit on pakko laittaa takaisin, jotta hihnasto pysyy paikallaan. Säädöt on helpot ja kypärä kevyt, ainut mitä kaipaan on intistä tuttu kypärän kiinnitys joka aukesi kun kypärän riuhtaisi pois päästä. Legendan mukaan se oli suojaominaisuus joka estää käyttäjää taittamasta niskojaan luodin tmv. voimasta. Leukahihna on hiertävä kuten oikeastaan kaikissa käyttämissäni kypärissä.
