These are great for protecting hearing, however I paired them with the PGD ARCH High Cut helmet, NIJ IIIA and the Peltor ARC adapters. Everything fits together perfectly and wears comfortably so 5 stars there. Only problem is that these ear muffs are way way to big to do any shooting in, even without the helmet. There is no way to get a good cheek weld with your rifle. If you are doing anything but serious shooting these are good to go. I purchased the Peltor SportTac ear muffs which look like they will work much better for my purposes.
