These rugged and affordable roof prism binoculars in the popular 8x42 size class are perfect for general-purpose use, whether you like to observe enemies, birds, or whatever. 8x magnification is probably the most common one available for a reason. It reaches far enough in normal use and provides a pretty wide field of view. Thanks to the 42 mm objective lense, the size isn’t humongous either, and they come with a comfortable harness, so carrying these won't be an epic tragedy full of drama.
From very cold to super hot climate
Leupold ensures their optics perform well in the harshest conditions, from -40 to +71 degrees Celsius (-40 to +160 Fahrenheit). You can use these binoculars almost everywhere, from cold Arctic winters to tropical summer days.
Waterproof and fogproof
You don't have to worry about Leupold binoculars leaking or fogging up no matter how much it rains. The proprietary gas blend and seals are tested to a 10 m (33’) depth and a multitude of pressure changes.
