Hesco L211 Armor Plate, Special Rifle Threat, Stand Alone

The Hesco L211 is a thin and light stand-alone, special rifle threat, single curve armor plate with a more comfortable shooter cut. It is ideally suited when mobility and concealability are more important than maximum ballistic protection. One plate in the package.

This is a new model, replacing the L210. This new plate is 2 mm / .08" thicker, but also 300 g / 10.6 oz. lighter per plate!

At this time we are unfortunately not able to send ballistic armor items outside of Finland due to export restrictions.

Special rifle threat protection

The L211 is neither a level III or IV plate but a so-called Special Rifle Threat Plate designed to protect against lighter rifle caliber rounds. It has been tested to stop several AR-15 (5.56 x 45 mm M855A1) and AKM (7.62 x 39 mm API) light armor-penetrating rounds - which would punch through NIJ III plates - but not the 7.62 x 51 mm M80 ball.

L211 plates come in Shooter’s Cut designed for better arm movement and weapon shouldering. These plates come in one size (Large) that’ll fit in most common L-sized plate carriers or in some cases, even smaller sizes. With smaller-sized plate carriers, you should check the measurements to see if this plate will fit in yours.
