French BM65 double buckle boots, black, surplus
Just some years ago the French still made their boots as they had for the past fifty years - double buckled and damn tough! A classic design, as French as the Eiffel tower and smelly cheese. Mmm.

These are damn well made, the inside is fully lined with smooth leather for comfort. The soles are replaceable, which means that these are basically an eternal pair of boots - high-quality leather serves you well as long as you treat it with care, and when the sole wears out just tell a cobbler to replace it! Or just glue on more rubber. The soles are usually more worn on these than ones pictured, but still good for many many miles kilometers before they need attention.
A note about the leather: that's the kind of stuff that costs ridiculously much these days. Needless to say, it's also ridiculously high quality, worlds apart from the abortions usually sold in cheapo shoe stores. However it sometimes has a thin coating on top which may be peeled off a bit. In terms of usability, it's a non-issue.
Size info
The usual Euro system. Sizes are a very tight fit, we suggest picking a size larger than you normally use.
Condition
Used, signs of wear are to be expected. These are all still in perfectly serviceable condition.

Aluksi pari sanaa aiheesta varastotalkki näissä kengissä: On käytetty.

The old ones made in France (Bally, Argeyrolles and such) are very tough leather and excellent quality of assembly. You'll need a few weeks to break them in if they'd never been worn, oiling the inside will help, and if they sat for long in storage then you may need to have the sole reglued once after the first few days. After that, they are very durable, and get pretty comfortable if you wear them often. I have no problem walking 40 km in a day with mine. Just know that there is no cushioning whatsoever. Nothing modern or fancy, but a very good and solid choice for daily use in a region where muddy woods prevail. The gaiter part is nice to have when you wade across brambles.
However beware, in the 2000's the same model has been produced in Tunisia. Those have thin and flimsy leather, poor sole material, and the shoe comes apart after a while.
