A good compression sack for a sleeping bag or anything that needs to be compressed. This thing will probably last forever, it's made so well.

This bag is quite big - almost any sleeping bag (or sleeping bag system) will fit in, or a heap of spare clothing, a heavy winter jacket, you name it.

Measurements

  • 65 x 30 cm / 25.5" x 12"
  • Volume is about 10-50 l / 610 inch3 - 3060 inch3, depending on how compressed the sack is.

The material is thick cordura with DPM camo, with PU coating on the inside. Usually they don't make compression sacks from material this tough, but the Dutch were serious.

Condition

In used but good serviceable condition. Not used for actual combat the condition is quite good overall. Being real army stuff it wipes the floors with most civilian bags.

The sack can fit the British defense 4 and the British Tropen bag... with room to spare, making it perfect to throw an extra blanket/pillow/parka/tarp/anything inside. The material is rather bombproof, I don't see it ripping under any normal wear. The actual compression method is excellent, it sinches rather tight compared to my Canadian army compression sack. Only downside is it's clear these buckles have seen some wear and tear, one breaking upon the first time I used the sack. I'll just have to email the dutch guy who's name is written inside I suppose. All in all, a wicked bag, and for this price point you really can't go wrong.

Nice compression sack, extra big & prefect for a Dutch M90 sleeping bag. Super tidy, clean piece of kit, Grab one before they all go.

A nice and durable compression sack. Fits my large thick winter sleeping bag with ease, which I had a hard time getting into other sacks. The sack opens up nice and wide to easily stuff it inside. One downside though, once you run out of strap length, there is no compressing it down further. The lack of horizontal straps is also a bit of a downside, because it becomes more ball-like when compressed, but for my needs a ball-shape does not make nearly as good a packing shape as a longer, slimmer overall package. If you are hoping it will double as a quick stuff sack, you may need to look at other alternatives. You need to tighten the straps quite evenly and enough so that it all stays nice and closed. Would still recommend it as a nice, very durable and rain-resistant alternative to other compression sacks. This one can take a real beating. Mine came in great condition and I found only very slight signs of wear and tear (some very minor scratches on the buckles).
