Product description

Here’s a biiig-ass medi-bag for Czechoslovakian doctor games. It comes with contents, with the exception that all the narcotics have been removed. Even before we got them, so this text is not fueled by combat drugs. The bag weighs close to 10 kg (over 20 lbs), and it does have lots of other awesome stuff. These are unused, and the bandages and such are individually packed. However, everything’s outdated, already around the time when the Communist regime fell. These are for collecting, not for saving lives.

Features

We don’t have an exact date for these bags but somewhere in the latter part of the Cold War Era in the 1980s. Everything is packed in an Eastern Bloc green canvas-covered bag that is closed with two buckles and comes with a shoulder strap. The outer measurements are about 47 x 27 x 25 cm (18.5" x 10.6" x 9.8"), and the weight approx. 9.6 kg (21.6 lbs). The texts on the side can vary to some extent.

Contents

Below you have the contents of the bag in pics, but the one you get might have some variation. Probably not very much though, because they are all unissued.

On the inside lid, there is a flat pouch with snap fasteners that contains a notepad and a bunch of blank patient data sheets. On top of the actual contents, there is a smaller foldable canvas-covered bag with an adjustable shoulder strap. The measurements are c. 45 x 22 x 19 cm (17.7" x 8.7" x 7.5"), and the weight c. 850 g (1.9 lbs.). The bag only has one compartment and the walls are stiffened. This is probably the latest in Ostalgic modularity.

Beneath the smaller bag, you’ll find all the actual first aid supplies:

  • Big bunch of various types of gauze and wrappings
  • Band-Aid
  • Wide fiberglass tape
  • Couple of rolls of narrow tape
  • Rectified spirit bottles (empty gawdammit)
  • Plethora of small, medium, and big plastic/glass bottles without labels. Maybe for samples or drugs
  • Face mask
  • Test tubes
  • Plastic bags
  • Rubber bands
  • Rubber sheet
  • Long wooden sticks
  • Those ice cream sticks that you shove in patient’s mouth
  • Pencil and a pencil crayon
  • Plastic jars
  • Plastic soap case that contains a wrapped bar that smells of a ‘‘70s Skoda Wunderbaum. Most likely a genuine Communist soap
  • Plus some stuff that we don’t know what it is without opening the packages
  • Pst, organized and unorganized criminals; these bags DON’T contain any morphine, Pervitin, or even alcohol, nor syringes. So, the value on the streets isn’t that good.

    Condition

Unissued Czechoslovakian military surplus. All the items are in unopened packages but officially outdated eons ago. The best before date can vary but the ones we checked were stamped with 1992, which incidentally was the year when the country fell apart. So, these are sold purely for collecting, as film props, adult fun and games, and doomsday larping.

Most of the contents in the bag are hydrophilic gauze dressings dated 1962, so it is suggested to replace them with new sterile supplies. The soap included has a wonderful vintage scent suitable for an older man. The glass vials and bottles are all stored in bubble wrap. The hard bag itself is in excellent condition.
