I use it as a neck gaiter/face cover combo for very cold temps - imho this is what it's best suited for. I recommend basically 'halfway' turning it inside out to double it up to make it more manageable. It bunches up quite a lot, but looks fine as long as you're wearing heavy clothing with it.

Have to agree with other reviewers. Get one, and do it now! It's a long neck tube that bunches up and really heats you when it's cold. You can wear it as a regular scarf if it's not that cold, and you can do anything with it that you can do with one of those branded tubes. If you want it shorter just fold half of it into the other. It's still gonna be tight on your neck but it'll be a bit more managable in length. You can make two great tubes out of it if you want and they'll probably still be warm! At this price there really is no good reason not to get one. Or two.
