A modern military ruck, these are 2000's gear. This is a medium-size, about 60 liter (4200 in3) pack made of very strong materials, and will probably never break. Go Czech Republic! This might be a one-off lot.
Camouflaged with the pleasantly subdued Vz95 pattern, this ruck is not only super strong and comfortable to carry but also has detachable side pockets that can be used together as a small daypack. The modern Czech gear is damn good and it's a true wonder they're letting it go.
Made of very durable ripstop reinforced polyamide with proper good QR buckles and standard 25 mm straps. A thick PU coating on the inside for water repellency. Weight about 2,3 kg (81 oz.).
The main space measures about 36 x 75 x 20 cm (14 x 29,5 x 8"). There's a large bag-like inside pocket that can also be folded aside if not needed. The main space can be divided in half by zipping it up from the center. The lower compartment can then be operated from the outside. This way you can pack the thing whichever way you like and access all the gear easily.
Apart from the side pouches there are two outside pockets: one on the top of the lid and one on the bottom. The one on the lid is quite roomy, while the bottom pocket is smaller.
The side pockets zip off and attach to each other, forming a small daypack. The soldier's probably supposed to pack all the essentials to the side pockets and then just take them with him for shorter ventures off the camp.
Used, but in perfectly serviceable condition, professionally repaired where necessary. We've seen these around as new manufacture with a price tag of around 200 euros.
