BW Shelter Half Pouch / Hood, Flecktarn, Surplus

You need one of these if you have a BW shelter half and even if you don't. A handy carrying bag with belt loops that turns into a medieval-style shoulder hood when necessary! One side can be opened for this but you don't have to if you're shy. A dirt cheap practical item to have around!

The idea of the BW 2-person pup tent is similar to many others: each fighter carries half of the necessary components to make a tent. The single fabric can be used for concealment and protection from the elements. Making items serve more than one purpose reduces the amount and weight of the pack and two squaddies can combine their forces and get a decently comfortable shelter.

This carrying pouch is meant for the shelter half only; the tent poles and stakes have their own bag to allow using the shelter pouch as a hood. Drawstrings around the opening and neck allow you to actually use this for the intended purposes. The shelter half inside the pouch doesn't have to be German, these fit a Plash Palatka fine, for example. The pouch can be used for various other purposes as well, it's easy to hang virtually anywhere thanks to the opening loops.

We urge you to consider purchasing a couple of these multipurpose items as it's always good to have more than one around. Just don't leave it on the ground or you'll never find it again!

German surplus

These are used items but in a serviceable condition. The fabric surely had some kind of waterproofing impregnated at the factory and it's most likely gone but you can fix this yourself. The tightly-woven cotton blend is pretty rain-resistant on its own.
