got mine earlier this week, I'd rate them an 85% in terms of "newness". They are obv. a real quality product; both the leather and the stitching are really top notch.<br /> <br /> luckily mine are quite charcoal-greyish and not that bright grey as on the pics here... the gloves are an absolute no brainer for the price. Will prob. order more since I could confirm size/fit (the only thing that held me off buying 2 or 3 pairs in the first place). <br /> <br /> I put them on, washed my hands with the gloves on with plenty of soap a total of 3 times, turned them inside out and did the same ... lots of yucky-water running off ;-) ... then dried them between old newspapers overnight and applied the next day a 50:50 mix of horse-grease and pure lanoline ... they turned out really like a second skin, esp. in terms of smoothness. Lots of life in them<br /> <br /> edit to add: made in 11/99 ... so roughly 20 years old<br /> <br /> 3 YEARS UPDATE:<br /> <br /> SOLID 5 STAR PRODUCT !!!!!<br /> <br /> <br /> - I still have the original pair size 9 ... they conformed nicely to my anatomy - I have used them quite a lot (gentle use, not for working in the garden ;-) - and they are pretty much in the same state as they were when I got them ... so the quality is nice and high - and the stitching is rock-solid! <br /> <br /> Expect that you can easily get 5-10+ years worth of gentlemen's usage out of those gloves<br /> <br /> - found that they were again available in feb-2023 and got a size 9.5 (half size bigger) and got an issued, but un-used pair in 98% condition. More on the nazi-greyish side than I care and way older than the other pair (these ones are from 1981), but to the same high leather quality and craftsmanship ...<br /> <br /> Crazy good stuff, here ... 40 years old but soft and supple as a baby's ass... I am going to condition them up just to keep the leather from drying out - and we are good to go, again (expect an update around 2029 from me ;-)!<br /> <br /> <br /> ohh... doble -kudos to V'leka : same price in 2023 as in 2020 ... that is pretty unheard!

Excellent fit and quality. They are obviously chrome-tanned, but if that doesn’t bother you, get these.

Wow! Did these surprise me. Leather gloves for this price?, I thought. They can't be in any perfect condition. That's perfect fit me! I need some gloves for lightweight work around the camp that won't melt when I touch a hot pot (yeah, happened before). I ordered a pair... They came in such perfect condition and so nice, that now I'm wearing them with my Sunday coat instead. Now I need to find me some other lightweight leather camp gloves. Damn you, Varusteleka! Your stuff is just too good!
