The modern German army combat knife is - rather surprisingly - a tanto design. These were probably too threatening for the domestic German market, so they were sold to the knifing capital of Europe, Finland.
A factory new KM2000 knife from Solingen's web store costs 199.95 EUR! The knives we sell are unissued.
Essentially a sturdy thing meant for fighting and general use. 5 mm / 0.2" thick tanto blade, PA6 polyamide handle, with the steely part going all the way through it. Blade length 17 cm / 6.5", the total length of the knife about 30 cm / 12". The material used in the blade is 440A forged, stainless steel. Hey, if it's good enough for the German Bundeswehr, it should be pretty high quality. These are made by Solingen.
The frog is a bit more retro by its polycotton materials, but otherwise pure 21st century (in a good way): MOLLE-style attachment on the back along with a regular belt loop means you can attach this to anything, and under a hidden velcro flap you'll find a sharpening stone. If necessary, the knife & sheath can be removed entirely from the frog.
In unissued shape! You'll get a blade that's just been stored for some time.
