British Gore-Tex foul weather jacket, dark blue, surplus

If camouflage is not your thing, here's a British MoD issue jackets for nasty weather. Good quality stuff for dirt cheap surplus price. If this was a new item, the price would be three figures without the cents.

Models vary

Practical features include a zipper closure with folding stormflap, which is closed with velcro or snap fasteners. Usually at least two hem pockets and reflector slabs. Some have a hood, some don't. All have a zipper for attaching a liner jacket, which is not included. The general appearance of all jackets is the same.

The membrane is MVP, the British army equivalent to Gore-Tex. It's basically the same stuff: keeps water out, but lets moisture escape through the microscopic pores.

Size system

Sizes in the British system: first height, then chest circumference in centimetres or inches. Don't pick larger than your actual size, these are already a bit oversized.

Condition

In used, but serviceable condition. Please note that membrane clothes require care to retain their waterproof properties. Washing (lukewarm water, by hand, special detergent) is strongly recommended, as is a waterproofing treatment by washing in, spraying on, or both.
