The hip belt of the Belgian jigsaw camo rucksack. Perfect as a spare part in case the original belt you have has gotten worn. Or use it and some other spare parts to create a unique Frankenpack. Or with just the shoulder straps a harness to pull a sledge/toboggan.

These were made in the late 1990s. 100% PA. The padded part is 80 cm (31.5") long, and the width at the widest point is 25 cm (9.8"). The strap in the buckle is 5 cm (2"). The hip belt can be adjusted between 74-156 cm (29"-61"). NSN 8465-13-116-7293.

Condition

Used Belgian military surplus. These are in very good condition though. They might have slight surface dirt and such, but that won’t have any effect on usability.

Got a what looks like brand new one as a hip belt for the kaz-03 backpack since those belts aren't and haven't been in stock for some time.

The straps you connect the kaz-03 belt and this belt are "flipped" though, so I had to do some frankensteining to make it work,
specifically I bought some of the reusable zip-ties to connect the belt to the metal rail of the backpack, and it seems to work well.

I haven't been able to try it out on a hike yet, but the belt seems sturdy enough.

Very, sturdy, very practical and very cheap. Not sure where to use it yet but will come in handy for my next packframe project. Difficult to attach extra pockets to.
