A basic collared shirt. These are made to military spec, so they look good and are very durable. Austrian Bundesheer surplus.

Button closure, two breast pockets and epaulettes. The colour is predominantly grayish olive drab, but varies a bit. The fabric is lightweight for a military issue shirt but thick compared to most civilian summer shirts. If you are going to war but want to look like a proper gentleman, no need to choose another shirt!

Size info

First an easy size, then standard European dress shirt sizes: neck circumference in centimetres, measured from the base of the neck. Length-wise these are good for the average Joe.

Used army surplus

Ite tykkään enemmän kuin saksalaisesta. Oikein mukava ja hyvin istuva paita.

Aivan asiallista ja sopivankokoista armeijan laatukamaa. Olen tyytyväinen :)

A good basic shirt; label says 50% baumwolle (cotton), 50% polyester. Mine looks almost new. I'm using it as springtime outer layer for day hikes and it works just fine for that. Seems durable enough and dries quite quickly.

Ordered the first ones as a "try"
Loved them. Now I have about 20 for the future, I use them everyday both for work and forrest outings/hunting.
Great quality. Got shirts both with and without the militaria on the left arm.

i regret i didnt order more than two :) i really hope they will be restocked soon. I got one "newer" from 2001 which was brown-grey-ish. It has a little bit short arms, but its ok. It has a straight bottom. I removed all remaining Velcro. The other one was "older" and more green, and paper buttons ! Last time i saw that was on ww2 items :) It has a "wave" bottom ( normal shirt bottom ) No Velcro on this, just a very faded "stamp" over one pocket ( the Austrian eagle with the letters "HV" under it ) Both shirts are used but look damn good, in their own way. I have washed them and they are ready for use... just waiting for better weather ;)

Bought two of these. The shirts are thinner and way softer than anticipated. Awesome! One has the patch on the sleeve, the other HAD the patch, but it was removed terribly requiring them to stitch up the area haphazardly. One made in 88 and the other made in 89. Uniform wear and fading. Would buy again, but sadly it was updated that they doubt they'll get more in stock anytime soon. :(

I received a shirt that fit perfectly, was crisp and had the patch on the sleeve.

If you have long arms, you will probably find the sleeve length on these shirts to be too short -- even if you order up a size to compensate. Otherwise, they are great shirts.

These are typical lightweight military dress shirts--the first one I got is dated 1983 and the second one is from 2005. The Bundesheer used this as their primary field/garrison shirt from 1975 to the 2000s, when the Anzug 03 light field jacket replaced all the traditional utility shirts. These are meant to tucked into your pants, so it won't look so good when you try to wear this like a casual shirt compared to the Austrian M75 shirt. For urban civilian use I like to throw on a non-milsurp jacket over this.

For size reference, my chest circumference is 88 cm and size 37 is an alright fit. The overall garment cut is very boxy (by comparison the M75 shirt has a more tailored fit), so I recommend taking this shirt to a tailor to take in the waist.

Army surplus

Military equipment is traditionally excellent stuff; it combines durability with very affordable prices. Army surplus finds its way to the civilian market in the following way: the armed forces of one country or other decides to get rid of big batches of perfectly serviceable gear due to cuts in military budgets, said gear becoming obsolete or redundant or some other similar reason. Some of this stuff then finds its way to our storehouse, sometimes directly, sometimes through a third party. Every once in a while we even get random batches of collectibles and rarities from obscure corners of the world.
