Fit for any use from the streets to the field of battle, you can trust these Austrian Bundesheer gloves to last a long time while keeping your hands cozy and warm, thanks to their strong leather construction and proper lining. Most other gloves have cotton lining if any, in these it's wool: retains most its comfort even when damp. If there's any gripe, it's probably the slightly less useful hook-n-loop adjustment tab on the wrist, but it's there if you need it.
Size info
Sizes are regular glove sizes, and run tight. Pick a size larger if you know your size usually is between two full sizes. If the gloves feel a bit tight when "new", remember that leather will stretch and form to your hand in use.
Condition
Real deal army stuff from Austria. Used but in nice serviceable condition.
Austrian surplus
Functional, neutral, clean. That's what the Austrian Bundesheer gear is made of. Our Austrian surplus revolves mostly around the Anzug 75 and Anzug 03 clothing systems, but who knows, maybe the "Tarnanzug Neu" will make it's appearance if the Austrians decide to clear the stocks in the future. Get your OD gear while the stocks last.
After the Second World War the Austrian soldier looked like a weird mixture of Allies and Germans; the M1 style helmet and general profile really tried to bring that NATO vibe up, but a lot of the gear and even the dotted camouflage pattern looked surprisingly much like WW2 German issue. In the 70s they took a major leap towards NATO with the introduction of the all-green Anzug 75 clothing and equipment system closely inspired by the American equivalents, finally letting go of the "old stuff". The Anzug 03 brought the game up to date with some changes in effort to modernize the whole thing. Now the Bundesheer is again moving over to camouflage.

They do not keep warm, suck water like a sponge, are not at all handy and they really stink.
I'd not recommend those gloves. There are better options for a similar price on this site, like the BW leather gloves.

Much thicker leather than you could imagine from the pictures, which is not a bad thing but they may not be your average daily dress gloves kind.

***The lining is wrong, it is much smaller than the glove. That's why austrian army got rid of these gloves and they smell like 100% new! They are defective! Since they were small even for my wife, I just removed the liners and now they fit my hands very well. I will get a pair of cotton gloves to use as a "hand socks". My last aquisition was a disaster, but now I am a little less sad. But they are too expensive for the problem.

Basicaly my fingers bottom out the lining and I have the PIP joint where the MCP joint should be. The issue is more profound than "duh, order bigger" because the palm is the right size (and I have big palms little fingers, I cant imagine people with normal hands trying those gloves) and the outer glove has like 3cm of empty finger (dexterity mein freund).
I'm wondering if I'll cut off the inner part completely or just the tip.
In all cases I'm very disapointed by those, I don't know if I got a faulty pair but if they are all the same I doubt they've seen much use because they are unusable.
