The can is about 10 cm / 4" across, palm-size, round full-plastic dish with a turn-lock lid. These come in two colors: white and yellow. We'll just send the next one in the box. A cheap, simple, and strong case for small food items or miscellaneous equipment.

Austrian surplus

Functional, neutral, clean. That's what the Austrian Bundesheer gear is made of. Our Austrian surplus revolves mostly around the Anzug 75 and Anzug 03 clothing systems, but who knows, maybe the "Tarnanzug Neu" will make it's appearance if the Austrians decide to clear the stocks in the future. Get your OD gear while the stocks last.

After the Second World War the Austrian soldier looked like a weird mixture of Allies and Germans; the M1 style helmet and general profile really tried to bring that NATO vibe up, but a lot of the gear and even the dotted camouflage pattern looked surprisingly much like WW2 German issue. In the 70s they took a major leap towards NATO with the introduction of the all-green Anzug 75 clothing and equipment system closely inspired by the American equivalents, finally letting go of the "old stuff". The Anzug 03 brought the game up to date with some changes in effort to modernize the whole thing. Now the Bundesheer is again moving over to camouflage.

Neljään purkkiin menee tiukasti 500 g suolattuja maapähkinöitä. Erinomaista reissussa, ei leviä pähkinäpussi repussa. En nähnyt mitään käytön jälkiä. Täysistä pisteistä jää yhden koska M82:n kansi ei sovi M83:een tai M84:ään (vuosiluku lukee kannessa). Suosittelen silti.

Ihan kivoja purkkeja, ostin kaksi. Muovi on aika kovaa, vähän samanoloista kuin vanhoissa legopalikoissa ja luonnollisesti noin 40 vuoden ikäisenä tuntuu jotenkin hauraalta. En ehkä kivikkoon heittelisi, mutta eiköhän nämä normaalikäytössä kestä. Kannessa ei ole mitään tiivistettä varmaan alunperinkään ollut, joten ihan vedenpitäviä nämä eivät ole. Kansi avautuu ja sulkeutuu molemmissa hienosti, mutta uudemmassa (-85) sitä ei ihan saa lukituskohouman yli kierrettyä.

Pisteet purkkimaisuudesta. En kuitenkaan voi suositella vaikka hinta/laatusuhde onkin ihan jees. Ostin lähinnä materialismin takia, käytännössähän tämmöinen häviää kaikinpuolin jollekin perus marketin modernille pienelle eväsrasialle paitsi on vissiin paljon persoonallisempi ja tehty varmasti jossain muualla kuin eurooppalaisessa kehitysmaassa.

All of mine are watertight. The dish feels a little fragile with the lid off, but they are sturdy with the lid on. Only downside is if you get a less used one, it can make a horrific plastic squeak if you turn the lid without pressing the pieces together at the same time.

Unfortunately 3 of them have already cracked lids, one bottom part has a crack too.
One can contained sewing supplys, half a star extra for that.

I received several cans. 1 had a crack in the bottom. That one will be used to store 22lr ammo for hunting. The rest were in great shape and cleaned up well. They are water tight and I used 2 for their intended purpose - taking butter and cheese to work. There were no leaks. It appears that they began life as orange and faded to white.
