Sukkamestarit makes your Särmä socks

Sukkamestarit Oy, founded in 1995 is a Finnish company specializing in socks. Their factories in Ylöjärvi employ about 30 textile industry professionals. The company manufactures all Varusteleka’s Särmä socks in Finland.

Sukkamestarit is a responsible manufacturer and a reliable partner. They monitor the quality of their products carefully and require the same from all their suppliers. They pay extra special attention to the safety of both people and the environment in their production. They operate in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. I’ve now been working here for 19 years.

What do you do there?

My tasks include linking the toe part together, boarding, and operating the packaging machine.

How did you get into this business?

A cousin of mine hinted that there was a job open here. Since I had a degree in the textile business, it was an easy choice for me.

How do you like your job?

I like it a lot because the work is very versatile, and I never have to think about work-related things at home.

I work in knitting and in maintenance.

I am a textile engineer by education.
