Features
The most essential qualities of a backpack cover are these: light weight, low bulk, and ease of donning and doffing, plus the concealment they provide. If they double as a rain cover, then water-proofing, too. These snow camo covers have the added benefit of easy backpack accessibility, as they have a full length zipper running in the middle – you don’t have to take the cover off to get to your stuff.
- Size L – flat measurements are about 120 x 80 cm (47" x 32")
- Volume is said to be 5,000 cubic inches (82 liters)
- Weight 120 grams (4.2 oz.)
- Stuffs loosely into an integrated pocket, size 20 x 12 x 5 cm (8" x 5" x 2)"
- 90 cm (35") zipper in the middle
- Grosgrain loops in four corners
- Bungee cord around the cover with a cord lock
- Bottom grommet drain hole
- MultiCam Alpine pattern
- NIR compliant
- Material: 70 denier Nylon ripstop, DWR treatment
- Made in the USA
The volume is 82 liters, so this cover fits backpacks of that size (not overpacked) and smaller ones.
Care instructions
This thing needs little care if you use it in snowy surroundings and don’t drag it through mud. The manufacturer has provided these instructions in case you pour your coffee on the cover or something:
Machine wash in cold water, tumble dry on low heat. You probably can skip the tumbler. No bleach or fabric softener. Do not iron. The product has a laundry tag, though, which says "warm iron". Who is going to iron a backpack cover? Sheesh!
US surplus
These backpack covers are unused surplus from the greatest military-industrial complex ever created. Made in the USA by Wild Things Tactical. These things are much more expensive everywhere else, so please act fast!
