Here’s a wicked cool tactical sheath for the Terävä Jääkäripuukko knife. It's made of warproof thermoplastic—a bit like Kydex but better because Boltaron. In addition to your belt, you can mount your knife on the vest, pack, or anything with PALS webbing. It's suitable for RH and LH users, and apart from military applications, these also work in outdoor and everyday use. The clips are sold separately.
Our new and shiny webstore is up and running – in celebration, this product has a 20 % discount for two weeks (NOV 28 – DEC 11). The offer applies to items currently in stock. All opening offers can be found on this page.
The Boltaron sheaths of Terävä Jääkäripuukko are designed to be as simple as possible because simple stuff works and functional is pretty. However, it enables you to use very versatile mounting solutions.
You can have your Boltaron sheath on your belt, battle belt, vest, pack, tactical walrus costume, and anything else that has Pals webbing. Furthermore, e.g. Tek-Lok also allows you to select several mounting angles. So, you can have your knife tip up or down, horizontally, diagonally, left, right - aah, so many lovely options!
There are initially two color options: black and green. If you like these, we might bring other options later. The first sheaths to emerge are for Jääkäripuukko 110 and 140 and, later on, others. This tactical sheath is especially popular in military use, but you can use it elsewhere as well. Mount one of these on your hunting pack or use it at home or in your car.
Boltaron sounds like an end-of-level monster in a sci-fi game, but it is simply a Kydex-like thermoplastic. Kydex is more well known but both of them have their loyal fans. Boltaron is somewhat stronger and can take the heat and cold better, which is nice when winter is coming and you need to operate in far north. The downside is a bit higher material cost.
These sheaths are sold without knives or mounting solutions. This way, you can create just the right setup for your needs or weave it on with some Paracord. At the moment, we sell three optional clips. Tek-Lok and Quick E-Loop are belt clips, and Molle-Lok is designed to be attached to PALS webbing.
The holes on the sheaths have been placed in a rather universal way so that pretty much all popular clips can be attached to the sheath.
