There are many games you can play while going about your daily adventures. One of the less popular ones is:"Where the hell is my screw cap?"

Opt out of playing with this bottle lace, or should we say screw cap lace? Either way, loop the small end to the cap ring with a cow hitch or lark's head and snap the larger end to the neck of the bottle. Done!

The materials are BPA-free. The inner split ring is a polymer and allows the whole thing to turn with ease as you unscrew the cap. The lace itself seems to be silicone, or in any case, it's safe for the purpose and durable as well.

Weight: 6 g / 0.2 oz

Fits bottle neck diameter: 34 mm / 1.35"

Made in Switzerland

Good old SIGG

Everyone recognizes these bottles. What's the story? SIGG was founded in 1908 to manufacture all kinds of things from aluminiminmum: cups, kettles, and so forth. The water bottle was added to the selection very appropriately: they had scrap pieces of metal from other produce and wanted to minimize waste.

SIGG was contracted by the Swiss armed forces to manufacture the flat M32 canteen - an item we have sold when we can find them. The round bottle was actually a hot water bottle up to the 1960s before it was rebranded as a drinking bottle.

Born as a side-product from scraps, the SIGG bottle became an iconic artifact and the company's primary offering while other products have been discontinued. Not perhaps the result they were expecting when making the first bottles 100 years ago, but a really good one!
