Do you carry heavy loads with your Savotta Jääkäri M backpack? This lightweight tubular frame adds rigidity and carrying comfort to such a degree that it's more than worth its weight and helps you go further than before!
This frame is essentially simply a downscaled version of the Jääkäri L frame, which was originally designed for the Finnish Border Guard patrol pack back in the late 1980s - tried and tested stuff! Made in Karstula, Finland, as all Savotta pack frames.

Installation
Installation is simple as heck: just slide the frame into the Jääkäri M back support compartment, keeping the plastic back support plate on the body side towards your back. You can also remove the support plate if you pack smart to avoid pointy and cornery objects poking you in the back.
That’s it, now your Jääkäri M is spined up to carry even more stuff, enjoy!

Custom fitting possible
If you would like to bend the S-profile to better suit your specific back shape you can of course do this, but do it carefully and take your time. The strength of aluminium is compromised through back-and-forth bending so avoid bending it too far.
Note that modifying the frame by bending will void the 5-year material and workmanship warranty. Damaging the frame is possible when bending it, and such accidents are not covered by our warranty.

Not the quality as to be expected from Savotta.
I Use Savotta, Berghaus and Särmä TST backpacks of different sizes on daily base.
Only non-branded type I use, the indestructible Dutch Day Pack in DPM and Desert.
