Whilst natural foliage is the ultimate helmet camouflage, a 3D effect bushy cover may be the next best thing. Quick and easy to use and easy to modify. These break up helmet silhouettes effectively and give you a quick way to adapt the camouflage to various surroundings.
Very simple design, a single flat piece of 500D Cordura with alternating zig-zag shapes cut into it. The zig-zag pattern leaves an opening for NVG mounts at the front.
Use
Small slits are cut around the edges for the included elastic cord. Thread the elastic cord through the slits, tie it at the back, and pull it over your helmet like a shower cap. To finish off, pull any excess material to the back and roll it under itself to tighten up the cover.
If you want to tweak the fit, you can thread the elastic cord in various ways through the slits and the zig-zag pattern cuts. And if you wanna go really wild, you can cut off excess material from the cover, but such modifications are of course at your own risk. So think before you cut and don’t do it while drunk.
