Finnish M05 combat vest
The official combat vest base of the Finnish army, newest model. The high price tag hides behind a vest that meets military specifications. No wonder, as the same manufacturer makes these for the army.
Finnish M05 utility pouch, small
A small (or medium) utility pouch for the Finnish M05 load carrying system. Covered in PALS loops for attaching extra stuff.
Finnish M05 double magazine pouch
A magazine pouch of the new Finnish M/05 load carrying system. Fits two RK/62 plastic magazines. Closes with a "Spanish Fly" buckle and velcro.
Finnish M05 rucksack, small
The modern Finnish army backpack is the most succesful laymans-pack yet issued by our military. Long gone are the formless "Sipulisäkki" (Onion sack) of WW2 vintage, or the cold war era M85 "Palloreppu" (Ball pack)! These new ones are virtually indestructible and simple as their predecessors, but as a new feature surprisingly nice to use and carry!
Särmä TST Chestrig SF
A 2-piece split front chest rig, a simple and versatile rig that functions well in a multitude of uses. Map pouches inside the panels, attachment points for small gear or hydration tubes on the shoulder straps. Enough PALS space to carry most loads. >Finnish MILSPEC quality!
Särmä TST RK Open Top magazine pouch
Finnish RK plastic magazines are bulkier than most other AK type mags, and much fatter than any STANAGs, this means trouble when looking for suitable open-top mag pouches. Those worries are now in the past, this pouch is designed to fit a single RK plastic mag, modelled after the thoroughly proven conventional open-top design with a few tweaks.
Särmä TST Modular multi purpose strap, 2-piece
A simple but rather clever two piece utility strap, doubles up as a weapons sling, carrying strap or sternum strap. Modular construction, attaches to any rucksack or PALS gear and doesn't fall off even if you're in a hurry and forget to secure the buckle. Adjustable at three points so you'll never have to roll and tidy up the ends.
Särmä TST Chestrig STD
The STD (as in standard. not venearal diseases) is a chest rig in it's most common shape form. Single piece construction with internal map pouch, attachment points for small gear or hydration tubes on the shoulder straps. 4x14 PALS webbing, enough to carry most fighting loads. >Finnish MILSPEC quality!
The original concept of the Tusk was conceived by Sal Glesser in the early 1980’s. More than 25 years later, his son Eric picked up the project and made it a reality, creating a truly extraordinary multi-function mariner’s tool. The Tusk’s handle is precision machined from two slabs of solid titanium. One end houses a Plain Edged blade ground from LC 200 N steel—a nitrogen-alloyed tool steel that offers extreme toughness and superior corrosion resistance—and locks open via a sturdy Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism.
No more do you need to strap those PKM ammo cans to your vest with utility straps (yes, the Finnish army actually still does that in the 21st century, it´s a bit embarrassing), we finally made a decent pouch for that! Also works as a large general purpose utility pouch or side pocket for a rucksack. Finnish MILSPEC quality!
Very straightforward design, dimensions approx. 25 x 15 x 9 cm, the flap is secured by both velcro and a SR buckle (the velcro can be covered up for silent and quicker access). A press stud strap under the flap keeps the content in place even if the flap is accidentally opened.
The sides of the pouch are double layered Cordura with a thin layer of cell foam inside to keep the shape and add a little bit of extra protection. PALS webbing on the sides allow attachment of small pouches or other accessories. Four channels wide PALS attachment makes for a very sturdy mounting onto vests or backpacks. Grommets on the bottom of the pouch let out any water that may find it's way inside.
Finnish MILSPEC materials
These are made from the very same materials as the Finnish army M05 combat equipment. 1000D Cordura, MILSPEC webbing and ITW Nexus buckles. 100 % military grade quality!
Varusteleka Särmä TST

Made in Estonia
These are made in Estonia by Finn-Savotta Oy, our subcontractor for all Särmä TST field gear. Materials are cut and prepared in Finland, assembled in Estonia. This is because of two reasons: first of all Finn-Savottas production schedules are so packed full of huge military orders that we'd have to wait months to get these sewn in Finland. The second thing is that this way we can cut the retail price by a third! Quality wise these are the same as Savotta's Finnish sewn stuff, so no worries there.
