Product description

Simply the best button-up shirt you’ll ever own. Very lightweight, super breathable, and made with mobility in mind. 100% wool, but don’t let it fool you. This is so thin that it is perfect for even those hot summer days. When our wool flannel shirt is too hot for the weather, opt for this lightweight version. You won't be disappointed.

  • Lightweight button-up shirt with checkered pattern
  • Fabric: 100% wool
  • Canadian style buttons
  • Gussets under the arms for those action-hero moves
  • Truly lightweight – the entire shirt weighs only 285 g / 10.1 oz (Size Medium)

These days, far too many clothes are cheap (and not always that cheap) imitations of the good ol’ garments made from proper materials and crafted the right way. Here's our contribution to making a change for the better. We couldn't settle for just ordinary; it had to be exceptionally good if not perfect. Some might wanna reserve this lightweight wool button-up for special occasions, but once you get a taste of quality, you'll want to wear it every day – no matter what you plan on doing.

The design is classic, with flap chest pockets, a button-down collar, and adjustable cuffs. It works anywhere, from downtown to the Lapland fells and on to the neighbor's barbecue or whatever – and if you get wet in the rain, this will still keep you warmer than a cotton shirt. Gussets were added under the arms for better mobility without unnecessary bagginess.

Look I would never pay this much for a shirt. But I did. All I wear is the flannels and it's getting a little hot out for that. But I need a long sleeve to hide my alabaster skin from the sun. You can't even tell it's wool it feels like cotton. No regrets. Now I can sweat it up and not have to worry about it. The buttons are like on the smock, so they adjust to you which is greatly appreciated because this is a fitted shirt. 92cm chest size small. I could go up to a medium but at those prices why take a chance. I'm happy with the fit.

Amazing shirt, fabric breathes well. Very comfortable with and without an undershirt, but wool does not bother my bare skin. I am a smaller and skinny guy (5'7" and ~125) and the x-small is a perfect fit for casual and dress use. I also have the small size, which I prefer when conceal carrying. The fitted size works for conceal carry, but going a size up conceals better as it gives a bit more room around the waist without making the rest of the shirt too baggy. The fabric drapes nicely and the pattern works really well for this use.

So I have one of each now and I love them both. I've got Large Regular of each, and with my gorilla arms the sleeves are perfect, but the body could be a touch longer. Large Long is better for me in the body but the sleeves are then too long (I tried that in the shop)... I'm an odd shape though so often end up between sizes, welcome to my world... What I've found with them is they'll shuck off dust, dirt etc. incredibly well (CEO Jari and I were rolling around in the dust at SRA Hätilä 2023 and it just fell off on its own after a while), won't smell, and will go ages without washing. But when you do wash them, iron them properly while wet then hang to dry, otherwise there'll be chaos. Ask me how I know.... The wool flannel shirts don't need ironing though if you're a lazy sod. If you're quite sensitive to wool they might prickle a touch on your body; wear a T-Shirt under them in that case (which is what I do, they don't prickle my arms at all). The material of the green is softer and less prickly than the black. /Bloke on the Range
