Kalakalle Smoked Salmon groats in tomato sauce, 235 g, canned
Amazingly nicely seasoned sweet smoked salmon paste type of thing, made in Finland. Hard to believe such delicacy comes from a tin can! Can be eaten as is, or preferably mixed with something else, like bread or to bring something extra to the main course. Works with Fish Cock too!
As said, it's kind of weird to find such good food in a can, and these are even made of proper ingredients, not of something suspicious you can't even pronounce. One can is big enough for several loaves of bread or a full portion of spaghetti, potatoes, etc.
Ingredients: Smoked salmon 40 %, water, tomato paste, rapeseed oil, sugar, carrot, salt 1,5 %, corn strach, onion, chilli. Milk free, contains no preservatives or additives.
Nutritional values: 100 g contains energy 912 kJ (218 kcal), protein 9,8 g, carbohydrates 7,3 g, fat 16,7 g.
There is a five-year shelf life printed on the can. This is because "you have to put something in there". In real life, well made (duh, it's made in Finland) canned food last a way lot longer, and doesn't really turn toxic - if you store this for reaaally long time, taste and energy values do deteoriate, but it's still edible. As it is, fish cock makes for a very good quality emergency ration. It'd be smart to store these into your car, your boat, cabin and anywhere you might get stranded in.
